How it’s Made
A tradition measured in weeks, not hours. Each rug passes through the same steps it always has.
Step 01
Raw Fibre
Goat hair is collected, cleaned and sorted by colour — chalk white, grey, brown and black — entirely without dyeing or chemical treatment.
Step 02
Spinning
Fibres are hand-spun into yarn using traditional spindles in the same villages where this craft has always lived.
Step 03
Weaving
Each piece is woven on a traditional loom, row by row, by artisans who have practised this craft for decades. A large rug takes several weeks.
Step 04
Finishing
Woven pieces are joined by hand to create rugs to any size. The ends are plaited or finished with fringes or blanket stitch, before shipping. No shortcuts — the same process it has always been.
